myChapters

Help shape what's next.

Have an idea for a book nook, a miniature room or a tiny world you'd love to build? Tell us. The ideas people want most help decide what byChapters™ builds next.

Takes about two minutes. No account needed.

How myChapters works

  1. Imagine it

Describe the world you'd love on your shelf: a street, a shop, a secret library.

  2. Others back it

Builders tap I'd build this on the ideas they want most. One voice each, so the numbers stay honest.

  3. We look closely

We group similar ideas, read every one and research the most wanted. Some will shape future designs.

Sharing an idea isn't a promise that we'll make it. But every idea is read, and the ideas with real support are the ones we research first.

  • Something else

    The Signal Room

A tiny mission-control den: banks of blinking consoles, a radar sweep on a little green screen, one swivel chair, coffee going cold beside the headset. Somewhere between a space station and your grandad's shed.

    The Living Terrarium

A nook that thinks it's a terrarium: clear acrylic panels misted at the corners, banks of moss and ferns, a tiny bench with a trowel left mid-job, and light falling in green. Half garden, half laboratory, fully alive.

    Neon Alley, After Rain

A rain-washed future alley between your books — noodle-bar steam, stacked neon signs, cables sagging overhead and a vending machine glowing at the far end. Futuristic, but still cosy. Would you build it?

Cards are written by byChapters from ideas people share. We never show names, and similar ideas are grouped so each world appears once.

Good questions

Why should I share an idea?

Because we're building our future collection around what people genuinely want on their shelves. Every idea adds to that picture, and the most-wanted ones help decide what we research and design.

What happens to my idea?

It joins the pool of ideas our team reads. We group similar ideas together, so ten people asking for a wizard's library count as one strong signal rather than ten separate requests. Some ideas are written up as cards on this page so others can back them.

Will you actually build it?

Possibly, but we can't promise. Sharing an idea doesn't guarantee we'll develop it: some ideas won't be practical as a kit, and others may be close to something already planned. The ideas with the most genuine support are the ones we research first.

Why does “I'd build this” matter?

Each one tells us there's real demand for a world. We count one per signed-in person, so the numbers stay honest and nobody can back the same idea twice.

Is this just a survey?

No. It's how we decide what to work on next: ideas are read, grouped, backed by the community and researched. When one becomes a real kit, we'll say so right here: You asked. We built it.

Will my name be shown?

No. Cards on the board are written by us and never show names or emails. We'll only use your own words or image publicly if we ask you first and you say yes.

Do I need an account?

Not to share an idea. To back ideas you'll need to sign in, which takes a few seconds with a one-time code by email. Ideas you share while signed in also appear in My Shelf, so you can see how they're getting on.

Can I change or delete my idea?

Yes. Message us in the chat (the bubble in the corner) or through the contact form with your reference (it starts with MC-) and we’ll update or delete it.

How we handle your idea

What we collect. Your idea and any details you add, an optional reference image or link and, if you give them, your first name and email address. If you're signed in, we link the idea to your account. We don't ask for your address or phone number.

How we use it. To understand what people would love to build, to group similar ideas and to plan future byChapters products. If you ask us to, we'll email you about your idea.

What's public. Nothing you send is published as it is. We may write up an idea in our own words as an anonymous card on this page. We never show names or emails, and we'll ask before using your words or image publicly.

Your image. Please only share images you took or have permission to use. We use them only to understand your idea.

Ideas and credit. Sharing an idea doesn't mean we'll make it and doesn't create an agreement to pay for it. You give us permission to use your idea, without payment, to research and develop future products. That permission isn't exclusive: the idea is still yours to share anywhere. Many people suggest similar things and we develop ideas of our own too, so a future product may resemble an idea without coming from it.

Your choices. Ask us to change or delete your idea or your details at any time through the chat or the contact form. Ideas are stored in Shopify, and pass through Cloudflare on the way. See our Privacy Policy.
