Somebody very small and very unhurried clearly lives here, and they are not answering the door before tea.

Green moss spills over the shingles, vines trailing past the eaves. Upstairs, an arched window shows a lamplit bedroom: cushions, an open book. Below, a round wooden door in a stone surround, and a porthole where a red squirrel pauses mid-errand. A watering can, a planter of white blooms, a white picket fence threaded with flowers, one red-capped toadstool.

At 223 pieces, this is one of the most approachable ways into the hobby. The HD UV-printed panels bring the stonework, daisies and interiors in full colour, the structure snaps together and most small details come pre-made, so you arrange more than you glue. The doors and windows open, the LED set threads through both floors, and five to six unhurried hours see it finished.

Stonework and daisy meadows run round the side walls, so it reads as a scene from every angle. A natural gift for anyone who reads fantasy, keeps houseplants, or has ever slowed down to look at a cottage garden.
